Christmas 2025

Happy Holi-Daze! Have you been waiting, patiently?  The wait is OVER!  The Mistletoe Missive is online!  Be kind, save a tree, read it here, but print if you must. To get it, click here...
I started as a Computer Science major in college, but then... ran into Calculus... I switched majors!  But I never lost that urge to work on computers.  After a detour into gummint work, I returned to college and conquered Calculus and took more programming classes.  But being a non-tradional student (a 30-something adult) I wanted to get back to full-time work ($$$) and found a job on a contract helpdesk supporting users over the phone.  This is was before high-speed internet and remote control software... that sucked!  Conveniently, for me, they closed my office and I was forced to strike out on my own.  I did some database development work, played with website design, but mostly continued with PC-support, but this time in-person, in people's homes and in small offices.

A Web Presence

I registered my personal domain name waaaay back in 1997.  That was even before the Dot-Com bust of 1999.
I'm an internet pioneer!

But WHY?

Basically as a hobby from home.  I wanted personalized email and it was something I thought might be fun and possibly profitable.  Which lead to....

Today

... Nothing really!  As with everything tech-related, things change so fast unless you are doing it FULL-TIME (I never was) and can keep up with the changes it is struggle.

So...

There, you're up to date.  Well, almost.  I'm basically retired now, but still plunk away at this web-stuff.  I have a small handful people who I help with mostly personal/non-profit related websites.  The tools of the trade continue to change constantly, but likewise they also continue to get easier to use.  So help yourself to a "tour" of this site, see what there is to see and take a momentary break from the daily hub-bub.  There is nothing here political, religious, or anything else controversial (hopefully!) and lets keep it that way.
